The WVHS Marine Corps Program is all teaching the values, morals, and principles of the US Marines. We are here to help high schoolers grow and thrive as a person, offering many opportunities to help them plan their future and life after high school!

Extracurriculars In JROTC

Any Cadet with a C or higher in their grades has the opportunity to join our very own Drill, Air Rifle, and Raider Teams!

Our Drill Teams

A Cadet who's part of Drill gets the chance to learn and perform Regulation/ Exhibition, Armed and Unarmed, and Color Guard! Our Drill Teams go down the Anchorage. three times in January and once in February to compete against other schools for trophies and the possibility to travel down to the Lower 48 for Regionals and Nationals!

Practice is in school, Tuesday through Thursday during extension, and after school, Monday through Friday from 2:10 to 3:30.

Air Rifle Team

A Cadet who's part of our Nationally Recognized Air Rifle Team will get a chance to shoot, learn, and perfect their skills with our team who have perfected the Art of Air Rifle!

Practice is after school, Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 5:00.

Raider Team

A Cadet who's a part of our Raider Team will get the opportunity to build their strength and compete in a yearly local competition, testing which school has the guts to do the most sit-ups, push-ups, squats, and more!
